About the club
The club plays on Friday nights at Lightwaves Leisure centre in Wakefield. Club nights run from 7:00 - 10:00pm, although the teams may play away matches at various times through the week.
Membership is £110 per year, and covers match fees, shuttlecocks, and court hire. Guests and prospective members may also pay £4 per night for one-offs, which can then be refunded upon joining.
We play competitively in the Barnsley and District Badminton League, and will again enter 3 teams this season. Our A and B teams will play in division 1, whilst our C team will play in division 2. We are always on the look out for new players who feel they can play to a suitable standard - feel free to come down and have a go if you're interested. It is recommended that you contact us first by email or phone, however, as there is limited court space on nights with two home matches.
